Our Community

We hold regular parties for special occasions and birthdays for our residents, as well as a variety of visiting entertainers, including the local primary school choir and the Gretton Brass Band.

Reminiscence is a very beneficial and enjoyable activity for residents living with dementia by recalling their past, and providing an opportunity to recount their memories. This process is aided by visual reminders of past significant and interesting events, which are encapsulated in the home’s own daily newspaper ” The Willows Daily Sparkle”..

Residents are encouraged to use the internet facilities, including skype, particularly to keep in regular contact with their family and friends.  Whether the residents would like to join in a game or quiz, spend time reading or entertaining friends and family, the choice is theirs.
